Usher Greeters

The First Touch Ministry serves as the first point of contact for everyone who enters our church. More than opening doors and handing out bulletins, ushers and greeters create an atmosphere of love, hospitality excellence, and order that helps people feel welcomed, valued, and prepared to receive from God.

The ministry exists to welcome guests, members, and visitors with warmth and excellence. Creating a positive first impression that reflects the culture and heart of our church. Assisting individuals in finding information, resources, and ministry opportunities.

Purpose

To create a welcoming, safe, and inviting environment where every person who enters our church feels loved, valued, and connected.

Serving as the bridge between the community and the church family, helping people feel at home from the moment they arrive.

To create a welcoming environment, serving the congregation with excellence and humility, and supporting the worship service by greeting attendees, helping them find seats, and managing distractions.

How to Get Started?

Joining the First Touch Ministry is a simple process designed to ensure you are equipped, confident, and positioned to serve with excellence.

STEP 1: EXPRESS INTEREST

Visit the Welcome Center after service or sign up during a ministry recruitment period. Let us know you are interested in serving in the First Touch Ministry.

STEP 2: ORIENTATION & WALKTHROUGH

Within two weeks of signing up, you will attend a brief orientation that includes:

Ministry purpose and expectations
Become familiar with service flow and zoning
Professionalism and excellence in service
Understand the role and responsibilities of team members

STEP 3: TRAINING & SCHEDULING

You will shadow experienced team members for hands on learning. Understand service flow and ministry procedures. Learn effective hospitality and greeting techniques.

“Let all things be done decently and in order.” 1 Corinthians 14:40 (NKJV) STEP 4: BEGIN SERVING Once training is complete, you will be scheduled to serve with the First Touch Ministry team. I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my god.” Psalms 84:10
